Having secured the gold medal at the Limassol

FIRST ATTEMPT AT WORLD RECORD IN CYPRUS 2010
Lithuania's Aurimas Didzabalis made the first
attempt at a World or European record at the Cyprus 2010
Junior European Weightlifting Championships.
The 19-year-old lifter had already clinched the gold
medal of the Snatch in the 94kg category, Friday evening
in Limassol, when he placed 186kg on the barbell for his
third attempt--but failed to make a good lift. The current Junior World and European
Record is 185kg and dates from 2004 in Minsk by Russia's Khadjimourad Akkaev.
