Information

Doping control (testing) is one tool that Anti-Doping Organizations (ADOs) use to level the playing field and protect clean sports. If you are competing at the national or international level, you are subject to doping control and can be tested anytime or anywhere. You can be tested by relevant National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs), International Federations (IFs), and Major Event Organizations (MEOs). When you are selected for doping control, you have a series of rights and responsibilities. (https://www.wada-ama.org/en/athletes-support-personnel/anti-doping-process).

Athletes are solely responsible for any prohibited substance found in their system whether there was an intention to cheat or not.  Athletes can be tested in and out of competition at any time, so it is important to know your anti-doping rights and responsibilities.  Be informed as the consequence of breaking Anti-doping Rules can be anything from 1 year to 4-year sanction or a lifetime ban.
